| I'm Jakob Hinrichs, a Berlin based Illustrator and comic book artist. Since graduating from Universität der Künste Berlin in 2004, I'm working for international magazines and newspapers, books and institutions. My work appeared in publications like the New York Times, The Guardian, the Boston Globe Magazine and many more. Beside my editorial work, I work on graphic novels. "Dream Story", my first graphic novel was translated into Thai and published by Typhoon Studio of Prabda Yoon. My work is influenced by German expressionism, print making and old comic books. Fun typography is a graphic element I enjoy adding to my illustrations and I love the Thai alphabet, even though I cannot read it. This is why I especially enjoyed doing the cover of the Thai edition of Dream Story. | |
