Euangaraya, based in Bangkok, is a pastry artist, an illustrator, and a creator of random arts. I have a deep fascination with various aspects of life, including the kitchen, home, animals, garden, seasons, and festivals, which I precisely illustrate on pastries as edible canvases.

I own a craft bakery business called “Why Dough?” where I find joy in spreading happiness through my creations. Additionally, I pursue illustration art purely for self-enjoyment. This year, I’m exploring the connections between art of pastry and illustrations involving with : 3D and 2D elements, edible and non-edible canvases, and food coloring and gouache paint, also engaging with different tools and techniques. My goal is to integrate these diverse art forms into cohesive stories, blending business with personal joy in the final artworks and products.

Aphrodite’s Spells (Gouache/Digital collage)

In conjunction with art of pastry, this illustration captures the moment Aphrodite emerges on the island of Cyprus. The pink hills and seascape symbolize charm and romance, while the purple, glowing atmosphere conveys lust and pressure. Though Aphrodite is often associated with symbols like swans, sparrows, or dolphins, I believe that sheep are a fitting representation of her. Just as she was born from the sea foam-soft, beautiful, and elegant-sheep embody these qualities with their gentle fleece. Beneath their soft exterior, however, lies a fierce protector, much like Aphrodite herself, who fiercely guards love ones. The presence of numerous sheeps on the island also underscores her role in fertility.

Aphrodite’s Spells (Pastry)

Pastry, as a medium of illustration, also features symbolic elements associated with Aphrodite (or Venus), such as seashells and pearls, along with various jewels and charms. These symbols represent love and beauty, making them an ideal choice for Valentine’s Day gifts, as they embody the sentiment of expressing affection to your loved ones.

Seafood Restaurant (Gouache/Digital collage)

After frequent visits to Hua Hin throughout the year and tasting the same local dishes, I've often wondered how it would feel if the tropical beaches of Hua Hin were transformed into Mediterranean shores. Picture a restaurant offering fresh catches of the day, where the visual presentation of seafood takes on a whole new charm. Imagine sitting at a gingham-covered table, starting with fresh oysters adorned with a squeeze of lemon. The boiled shrimp cocktails on a round plate appear to dance with their vibrant colors. For the main course, you’re served buttery baked mussels, a giant lobster, sardines, and grilled scallops. This is everything you've envisioned.

Seafood Restaurant (Pastry)

Pastry, as a medium of illustration, depicts a Mediterranean seafood restaurant that serves only dishes made from the freshest catches of the day. The meal begins with hors d'oeuvres: shrimp cocktails, boiled prawns arranged meticulously on an iced round dish. For the main course, a platter of assorted seafood is accompanied by a squeeze of lemon. Picture this delightful meal set against a Mediterranean shore, where you can enjoy the clear blue sky, watch seagulls, and feel the warmth of the sun.

Non-organic cabbage and mutated escargots (Gouache/Digital collage)

Mom is always deeply concerned about the effects of chemicals on health, so she chooses only organic vegetables. She prefers those that might appear imperfect-smaller, with minor pest damage or holes on the leaves-over the perfectly pristine, oversized produce that often contains pesticides or fertilizers, like this cabbage. It’s unsettling to think about how contaminated produce could affect not just us, but even small creatures like snails, potentially passing chemicals through generations. If we were to consume these tainted foods, could we face similar mutations and health issues as these snails?

Non-organic cabbage and mutated escargots (Pastry)

Pastry, as a medium of illustration, imagines mutated snails in a variety of shapes, sizes, and distorted forms, all resulting from exposure to the chemicals used to grow the perfect, gigantic cabbage. The snails, crafted pastry, are presented on a large plate designed to resemble a cabbage.

In memory of Tammy (Gouache/Digital collage)

The scent of lavender holds a special place in my memories of my grandma, Tammy. Her favorite lavender shower gel, Yardley, was a constant presence in her bathroom throughout my childhood. Even after she finished the soap, she kept the empty bottle as a souvenir. Grandma passed away a month ago, and this lavender bouquet is the final piece of art I created for her.

Lavender blue for every mom (Pastry)

Every mother deserves love! This pastry is created to celebrate all women on Mother’s Day. While jasmine is a traditional symbol for Thai Mother's Day, Lavender is an extraordinary alternative. In keeping with the previous illustration, this Mother's Day collection is dedicated to the memory of my grandma, who also cherished the beauty and joy of lavender.

Self-compassion (Gouache/Digital collage)

"Self-compassion" involves being warm and understanding towards oneself, especially when faced with personal shortcomings or challenges. It is about offering oneself comfort and support. Embracing self-compassion first and then extending it to others could be a profound representation of empathy to the world.

This illustration was created for The Common Art Weekend to help raise funds for Bangkok’s communities through The Common Community Program. Just as compassion takes many forms, so does art.

B2S store (Gouache/Digital collage)

This illustration is a commissioned piece, customized made for the B2S Mega Bangna store as part of its renovation into an art destination. The artwork will be installed on the panels above the shelves, connecting visually with the items below. Featuring a dachshund in various roles such as a student, artist, and office worker, the illustration narrates the journey and experiences customers will have as they explore the store.

Le chat de la voisine (watercolor)

When I first adopted cats from my neighbor and a friend, I never imagined that they'd become the start of a big family. It all began with a couple of cats, the family began to grow to 40 cats.

Now, my home is a bustling cat family : a blend of siblings, cousins, and companions - each with their own unique personalities. they’ve created a cozy atmosphere in the house that's just as chaotic as it is heartwarming.

The ginger cat (watercolor)

It all began one day when a lost Persian cat wandered into my neighbor's house, looking for refuge. It didn't take long before she gave birth to four kittens right there, a mix of two ginger and tabby babies. My neighbor, knowing how much my family loved cats, mentioned the new arrivals, and without hesitate, dad had adopted one of the ginger kittens and one of the tabby kittens.

Their presence quickly disrupted the delicate balance at home, and they didn’t exactly get along with the other cats at first. But despite all the chaos they caused, their charm was undeniable. The ginger cat’s personalities, adorably naughty made it impossible not to love him.

Les escargots fantôme (gouache/collage)

Beware the mutated snails that arise from munching on the giant non-organic pumpkin! A haunting transformation that’s both creepy and crawly!

Les escargots automne (gouache/collage)

Autumn air swept into the kitchen, I proudly placed the enormous butternut squash on the counter. I noticed snails clustered around. Looking closer, I realized these were no ordinary snails. Each one shimmered with vibrant, mutated patterns, reflecting the rich colors of the season. They seemed to be part of an autumn feast of their own, blending the magic of nature with the bounty of my kitchen.

Maison Fleurie (gouache/collage)

Our family estate in Khao Yai, called “Maison Fleurie” which translates to "Flowery House" in English and “บ้านดอกไม้” in Thai. The name is inspired by my own given name, “เอื้อง” (Euang), which means "flower" in the Northern Thai dialect. The cottages are situated across the land, blending with the natural beauty that surrounds them. The name ties together both the beauty of the land and my family's love for creating a space where art, nature, sustainability, and creativity bloom in harmony.

The great pumpkin farm (pastry)

Welcome to The Great Pumpkin Farm, where autumn whispers secrets of Halloween. Wander through our sprawling pumpkin patch, where you might uncover hidden mystery among the vines.

The great pumpkin farm (pastry)

In a pumpkin farm where shadows play,
A Halloween treat awaits today.
Golden crust with a buttery cheer,
Filled with cookie cream, oh so dear.

Spiced whispers of autumn fill the air,
With every bite, a taste beyond compare.
Jack-o'-lantern smiles, all aglow,
A slice of magic in the moonlight's show.

Pumpkin Patch (pastry)

Ghosts and ghoul gather together at a sprawling pumpkin patch. The spirits float among the rows of vibrant yellow and orange pumpkins. They dance and wander through the patch, their small eyes sparkling in the moonlight as they collect the ripest pumpkins for their harvest feast.
