Im Bitto from Philippines, an artist, painter, and muralist with a background in illustration and design, i use graphic figurative representation, text and abstractions to explore personal narrative on my works. My paintings includes a cast of recurring characters placed in encapsulated moments that portray intimate and familiar settings of the everyday, focused on seemingly incidental circumstances and quieter experiences of daily life. I draw inspiration from nature ,textiles, japanese lifestyle magazine, patterns, hand painted signage and ephemeral graphics. My numerous skills and diverse interests are reflected throughout my art practice, coming together to form a vibrant and cohesive body of personal work. My characters took on a life of their own and have lead to exhibitions and fairs in Japan, Singapore, Jakarta, Thailand, New York and collaborations from a list of clients like Apl de Ap, Nike, Gcash, ShakeShack, GentleWoman etc
