My job involves working with plants as subject for research and teaching. But there is beauty in every leaf and petal so I take the same techniques I use to preserve plant specimens and turn them into art. From a bouquet someone gifted me, flowers left behind, the blooms on my little balcony, or a wildflower I stumble across—I collect, study, and preserve them, and then I make something new and unexpected.
