HeLLo!
Preecha Trongmaneetham, also known as POLAND, is a Bangkok-based illustrator.
Lover of art and planting plants. I enjoy presenting stories from my surroundings, which relate to hobbies, music, and pets, through my artwork. I use vibrant colors that feel lively and powerful lines that carry a hint of cultural essence.

About Tungchae
"Tungchae" is a young boy captivated by the art of lion dance. He grew up surrounded by Chinese culture, rich with symbols and layered meanings. Through the beauty of plants and nature, he expresses his emotions and inner world. His work celebrates the unique identity of his neighborhood — in vibrant, playful ways — and seeks to bring joy and brightness to everyone around him.

Dragon fireworks

Tungchae is a child who loves lion dancing. Chinese culture resonates deeply with his way of life, often carrying hidden meanings beneath its vibrant expressions. He wishes to share the joy of being surrounded by people and the natural world. Through his eyes, life becomes more colorful when we embrace it with playfulness and delight. He invites everyone to live with color, connection, and a sense of wonder.

Dreams in red

Within a vibrant world shaped by trees and Chinese traditions, energy flows like the rhythm of a growing heartbeat. Here, dreams and determination dance in quiet harmony. In the union of the turtle’s quiet endurance and the lion’s fearless power, a harmony arises one that gently steadies the heart.
The phrase
春芽 (chūn yá) means "spring buds" and 瑞锦 (ruì jǐn) means "auspicious brocade"
Combined, they evoke the image of "a blessed brocade woven from the tender buds of spring"

Tungchae — Colorful Parade

Klong Thom Market, Ong Ang Canal, Sampeng Market, Yaowarat Road, and Rommaninat Park are places that Tungchae often visits. These vibrant neighborhoods are filled with charm and character — places that have the power to spark joy and create meaningful experiences for everyone.

FUN FUN FUN

I grew up in the Khlong Ong Ang neighborhood. As a child, I often bought toys and video games here, which brought me great joy. Later, I developed an interest in film photography—my first film camera came from Mega plaza. Since the area was renovated, events, delicious food, and local vendors have made it vibrant. Khlong Ong Ang is a colorful place that always feels special to me.

“Tendered” — the Sky Turned Rosy

A tenderness that needs only the slightest touch — and suddenly, the atmosphere is wrapped in soft shades of pink. Through nature and dreams, we stumble upon quiet answers we never knew we were looking for.

“Tendered” — beyond my control

The allure of beauty stirs the heart.
And in that longing, life finds its sweetness…even with a touch of bitterness.

The night before boo!

The balcony garden was being transformed for a festive party. Tungchae’s friends gathered with joy to help set everything up, turning the evening into a celebration of fun and friendship.

Blissful bloom

A small vase in Tungchae’s room holds a delicate arrangement of flowering and leafy plants, along with symbolic treasures: a Chinese gold ingot, representing wealth and prosperity, and a Chinese gourd (hulu), believed to bring good fortune, health, and protection from negativity. These meaningful symbols are lovingly woven into the design of a head scarf, allowing everyone to carry a touch of luck and joy with them.
The phrase
"兴高" (xìng gāo) in Chinese conveys feelings of cheerfulness, delight, and happiness

Rise and slay!

Waking up each day takes a lot of energy. But if you take a moment to look at the objects around you and imagine that each one is doing its part, cheering you on and helping you embrace life with a little more brightness, it can make things feel a bit lighter.

New garden (A Journey of Growth)

This is the story of someone who loves trees and dreams of starting a garden. Beginning to plant trees is like embarking on a journey of learning many things—whether it's understanding soil, sunlight, water levels, or the color of leaves. This journey mirrors the growth of a young person transitioning into adulthood, where they must learn and adapt to many new experiences.
Technique: acrylic painting on canvas , mixed media , digital print
