Cita is an artist from Indonesia. Her inspiration comes from cosmic horrors. Instead of focusing on the fear of the unknown that takes its grip of our sanity, she integrates strange and out-of-this-world elements into mundane life, in bright and colorful schemes to take away some of the fears.

Dream for a Dream

Dreaming of a world where women can dream away peacefully, unbothered by a world filled with blooming envy, judgmental eyes, and biting words. They're beyond our control, stemming from the people we don't know, other women, and even those we hold dear. But we can make peace with their existence, and simply dream.

Overgrown Thoughts

Don't you wish you could detach your head and trim the unnecessary noise when every fiber wants to speak?

Grounded

The one limb that can't function, yet the one that makes me submit to reduction. Each step is a chore, each break is an uncomfortable bore. Unlocked a new level of pain, yet this amount of gratitude couldn't be feigned.

Garden of Sights

The graceful gardener hums as she unfailingly waters the demanding eyes every day. They will lose their sights otherwise, those windows into the furthest corners of the universe. Even the unknown worlds.

Awakening

Everyone has a different point of awakening, that certain thing that unlocks a whole new universe and how they see the world. A word. A feeling. An experience. What's yours?

Take the Baby

She beckons and urges you to take the growling creature. That's not a human baby, not with that number of eyes and tentacles slithering out. But no one can resist her in this village.

Unbinding

Mothers do their best to raise their children, even under the constraints of their era alongside the watchful eyes and judgmental words of others. But their children see, hear, sense, and absorb. Such is the nature of generational trauma. When one is fully aware and takes ahold of it, only then can healing begin.

Forget Me Not

Each of us is shaped by memories, not only our own, but also those held by others. How they see us, define us, remember us. And when we're not around, those memories become the forget-me-nots we leave behind.
