dolls

This series is a depiction of the imagined world within my mind. I capture fleeting images and fragments of imagination that spontaneously pop up, and use them to create these illustrations. In this illustration, a group of children spins and plays around a matryoshka doll on a paradise-like lawn.

totem

This series is a depiction of the imagined world within my mind. I capture fleeting images and fragments of imagination that spontaneously pop up, and use them to create these illustrations. A group of explorers encounters a totem in a grassy field. The place feels mysterious and remote — yet signs of human life are not far away (like a pair of underwear fluttering in the wind).

traveler

This series is a depiction of the imagined world within my mind. I capture fleeting images and fragments of imagination that spontaneously pop up, and use them to create these illustrations. This is a walking hotel moving through the desert. The innkeeper is preparing a meal for the travelers, while a bard plays music for them. Occasionally, they pick up strangers who happen to cross paths with this steel horse.

apple dress

This series is a depiction of the imagined world within my mind. I capture fleeting images and fragments of imagination that spontaneously pop up, and use them to create these illustrations. While working on this piece, I suddenly recalled a memory from kindergarten — the time we wore apple-themed costumes. Each child was dressed as an apple, dancing in circles around the teacher. But I can no longer remember the teacher’s face, so I replaced them with a mushroom figure. I turned the scene into a kind of night-time agricultural fair, honoring vegetables — with no audience in sight. I believe this painting reflects a subconscious memory of my kindergarten graduation ceremony. I was too small back then to see the people in the audience. The mushrooms represent the teachers — quiet and still.

drawing Christmas ball

This is a small piece I created for Christmas. In this illustration, a group of little elves is busy painting Christmas ornaments in preparation for the holiday.

band

This is a small piece I created for Christmas. The Christmas band.

cocoa

This is a small piece I created for Christmas. On a cold winter day, someone curls up on the sofa with a cup of hot cocoa.

cat waiting for gift

This is a small piece I created for Christmas. A cat waits under the Christmas tree, hoping for presents. It’s tugging on the fairy lights — clearly the kind of mischievous cat that’s always one second away from switching off the lights and causing trouble.

bake for turkey

This is a small piece I created for Christmas. A girl is stopping the cat from stealing the roast turkey — though it's more about keeping them away from the hot oven
