Jerold Sunga is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Aotearoa New Zealand. He has been working as a designer within the public service for more than half a decade. Wanting to expand his artistic horizon from solely a corporate perspective, he has decided to dedicate most of his time into finding his own style.
His work takes inspiration from scenes in everyday life, cutting and pasting different aspects of the mundane and turning it into something obscure, but also familiar and nostalgic. He also draws from his experiences as a Filipino immigrant in Aotearoa, anxiety and mental health, and finding meaning in oneself.
