I am an illustrator and storyteller who creates colorful, magical worlds using traditional watercolor.

My work center on ‘Sad Bear and Sassy Cat’, a story of an unlikely friendship between two different souls. Their world is dangerous yet beautiful, mystical yet understandable. I love to explore the theme of cultural diversity, folklore, and unwavering hope ranging from the mythical shrines of Thailand to landscapes across Asia. These are an evidence of how friendship can be born despite all differences.

I hope ‘Sad Bear and Sassy Cat will be a safe haven that brings joy, melancholy, and comfort to audiences of all ages.

Nakee: A Being for Riched Land

Do you believe in mythical creature call Nakee?

Sad Bear and Sassy Cat arrived at Wat Phra Lat in Chiang Mai. They found Nakee, a mystic being that living only in the rich land

The question is: If you don’t see them, it maybe because the land is not rich enough and has been destroyed by invasion?

Under a Thousand Lights

Even same festival, there are many practices and loots across Thai society.

On the full Moon night of twelfth lunar month, Sad Bear and Sassy Cat are at Wat Phra Sing, Chaing Mai, celebrating Loy Kratong Festival in Lanna style. Instead of floating lantern in river to worship Phra Mae Khongkha, Thai version of Ganga, a goddess of river of Hinduism, they light the candles, a symbol of wisdom.

Under the moonlight, they learn different traditions, a thousand stories to tell.

Eight Parts of Rain, Four Parts of Sunshine

In truly multicultural city of Pattani, every culture blooms its vibrant.

Amidst ‘eight parts of rain, four parts of sunshine’, meaning the volatile weather of southern part of Thailand, Sad Bear and Sassy Cat is at Heaven and Earth Pillar of Leng Jujing Shrine.
Sad Bear is curious about everything while Sassy Cat is giving up on the hot weather. Here, they meet Blat, an ice-cream shop owner, who serves refreshment in severe day.

It’s nice to cherish the vibrant and rest for a while.

Sound of Golden Bells and Sea

The sound of sea and golden bells play a tune of quiet, at a place where they share peaceful harmony.

At San Chao Mae Sam Muk in Chon Buri, Sad Bear and Sassy Cat are blessed by a Legend Dragon to travel safe. The Shrine also hosted by Tianhou, a goddess of sea worshipped by Oversea Chinese.

The blessing encouraged them to protect their unique friendship, allowing them to continue explore the beauty of this diverse world.

A Shoulder for Endless Road

Sometimes journey is excited, sometimes is exhausted. Sassy Cat lays his head on Sad Bear’s shoulder when they are traveling across a vast of green field. They share a quiet moment of seemingly endless road.

First met

Before any great and wonderful journey, full of chaos and peace, begins, every friendship has its first met.

On snowy day in the city of Tandlai, Sassy Cat was a victim of hit-and-run by a mystery bicycle. Sad Bear, who was not quite sad back then, was about to leaving a restaurant, ready to go back home, found him lying under snow pile.

At that time, Sad Bear did not know what would lying ahead of him.

A Door to New Journey

Sad Bear and Sassy Cat arrived at the land of rising sun, continued their borderless journey.

At the gate to explore new culture, they find a new friend, who is really living in different world.

Night at Ghost Town

In the world where bears is vanishing species, the journey of Sad Bear and Sassy Cat goes beyond live and dead. They are searching for Bow’s Bear, Sad Bear’s sister.

Inspire by Night Market in Thailand, the ‘Ghost Market’ illuminated the land of dead. But in this place, there’s hope to find a missing sister, a few left in existence. Don’t worry, Sad Bear. Sassy Cat is here to help!

Year of Snake

After a year of working, they can rest for a bit. Sassy Cat is resting near a waterfall while Sad Bear, be a kind person, help snake clears his temple.

New year, new zodiac. The year of dragon has come to end. The dragon now can rest, leaving a job to snake to take care of the year.

New Beginning

The day is about to end, their journey is about to be closed. Sad Bear and Sassy Cat is going to travel back to their life

But the majestic dragon is flying across the sunset sky. Where are they leading them to?

Sad Bear and Sassy Cat is not a story of two but a story of an infinite universe. One of them is Dr.Blat who sells ice-cream to Sad Bear and Sassy Cat.

Blat’s Lab

Blat is an insect. He is hated because he’s ugly. Out of his loneliness, he created Slime, creatures of his research, to be his friends. He also sell ice-cream from his lab for living. He once met Sad Bear and Sassy Cat at Earth Pillar of Leng Jujing Shrine and sold an ice-cream for exhausted Sassy Cat.

This is a picture book containing a heartfelt story of Sad Bear and Sassy Cat on a search for “Bow Bear”, Sad Bear’s sister who has disappeared.

Different names highlight cultural diversity. In Southern part of Thailand, this dish called Kaeng Som (Orange Curry). But Kaeng Som in Central Thailand is different dishes with different spice. Central Thailand calls this dish Kaeng Leung (Yellow Curry).
