Endless Journey
O.R.G.Y. Group Exhibition, held by I WANNA BANGKOK and ATT19 GalleryIn a realm reminiscent of familiar places, a solitary cat uniquely endowed with nine lives, among others limited to just one. The surrounding animals gaze at their sole glimmer of hope, yearning for help in achieving dreams that are unattainable and seem beyond their grasp within their one lifetime.
This artwork implies the personal struggles and expectations faced by women, burdened by the roles of daughter, wife, and mother, imposed by family and society.
Through this narrative, the artwork invites viewers to contemplate the womanhood experience of ‘flat’ existence, where personal ambitions are sacrificed for the sake of others' wishes. Leading to an end of sediment, in a world where women do not possess nine lives, it serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of self-discovery and the pursuit of one’s own path and identity.
Technique: digital illustration printed on fabric, acrylic hand-painted on die-cut acrylic, and hand-embroidery on ribbon
