I am Anica Hossain, also known as Anico. Self-taught artist, inspired by the world around me.

As a Bangladeshi illustrator and visual storyteller, my artistic journey began as a quirky, playful visual diary on Instagram, which gradually grew into 'Anico', my creative identity and brand. I come from a media studies and communication for development background with nearly 8 years of visual communication experience.

My work is a reflection of my emotions, everyday chaos, and humor. Whether it's a whimsical illustration, a bold poster, or a silly cat photo, I try to create art that feels personal, relatable, and imperfectly human.

When I am not drawing, you will find me cosplaying, gaming, or simply binge-watching a new TV series or anime.

Black Kats

I always wanted a pet black cat, but my mother is allergic, so I ended up drawing them to fill the void. I turned these black cats into stickers so other people can also carry these tiny void or stick them wherever they want.

Weather Cats

It started with a personal challenge: one cat, every day, inspired by Inktober—my own version of 'Catober.' What began as a series of simple pen sketches took a turn when a colleague encouraged me to bring them to life beyond the page. I was hesitant, unsure if these drawings would resonate with anyone else. I took a chance, turned those sketches into stickers, and the response was more than I could have imagined. These cats are a reminder that the best ideas often come from the simplest moments of play.

With the flow

This piece was born from a need to quiet the noise. Lately, I have been feeling a bit overwhelmed, but I have found a strange, gentle clarity in my new swimming lessons. There is something about the water that holds you, if you let it. This drawing is a reminder to myself: to chill, to take it one step at a time, and to simply go with the flow.

Apple Fam

A thumbnail for an Apfelkuchen (Apple cake) video that I was 'kindly' peer-pressured into making by my family. The pie disappeared in minutes, but at least the sketches stayed! This was my way of capturing the chaotic, flour-filled process of being a reluctant baker.

Doggo Stickers

Just a collection of random dog doodles. I have always loved sketching animals, and these stickers are simply the result of me doodling my favorite breeds whenever I have a pen in hand.

Kukur Stamp Stickers

Kukur: A collection of whimsical dog doodles, reimagined as stamp stickers. Named after the Bengali word for our four-legged friends, this series celebrates the joy of sketching different breeds and characters. Good bois, officially stamped.

Snoopy n Sparky

In loving memory of Snoopy and Sparky. A friend asked me to draw her beloved pets.

Planet Kraken

The trilogy continues. After Celestial Cats in 2024 and Celestial Dogs in 2025, I wanted to shift perspectives for 2026. This year, I have drawn an octopus infused with a spiritual, cosmic energy, a design so celestial it feels like Saturn itself has taken an eight-tentacled form. Meet Planet Kraken: a little bit of space, a little bit of spirit, and entirely cosmic.

Chaotic Friends

Inspired by the beautiful chaos of my school friendships. Our hangouts are loud, messy, and perfectly unpredictable—the kind of laughter that leaves my stomach hurting and my heart full. This drawing is a tribute to those moments, and a reminder that even on the toughest days, the right company makes everything feel alright again.

RGB Hair

Since 2023, I’ve treated my hair like a blank canvas, experimenting with every color in the spectrum. It has been a colorful few years, and this thumbnail is a look back at my journey through the rainbow.
