I’m a former marine scientist who jumped into the art world. Last five year I truly started drawing and painting and launched NFT. Since 2024 I have drawn the cat in various scenes to express feeling of my life. Last December, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Then I drew “The Radiant cat” which inspired from my experience in oncology therapy by radiation & the others therapy processes.
I began to draw “The radiant cat” during my radiotherapy. I really impressed with the oncology radiation process techniques and tools. Those are amazing and new things for me.
"The radiant cat" is a cat who has markers on the skin for precisely radiation grooming process. The radiotherapy can eliminate the bad cell in the radiant cat body and transform the cat to the better version. Likewise, the difficulties that make us stronger and change us to the better version, as well. Before I got cancer, I always drew only one cat in my artworks because I felt lonely at that moment. However, after I got cancer, I found that the relationship between me and the other people is very important. Now I don’t feel lonely anymore.

She should not swim

During the radiotherapy the radiant cat skin is very sensitive. The doctors not allow to swim and sunbathe. The radiant cat should not swim. But she doesn’t know why she really want to swim at that time. The cat always sits by the pool and enviously look at the other people swim.

The art work showed the transform of radiant cat. Cat on the platform was in the radiation process. She had a cross marker on the skin for precisely radiation process. After radiation the skin in the radiation area was not the same color with the normal skin. The cats may have the striped on the skin and when the time passing the striped was faded out and may change to be large dot and small dot, respectively. The cat cannot swim in the therapy process. But finally, the cat can swim after finished the therapy. At that time, she really proud of herself after passed through the tough time of therapy.

The radiant cats are shinning like a lamp. They had a light of hope in their body. They will be shining eternity no matter what happens.

After the radiotherapy the radiant cat was tried. Her life is slower than usual. But in that period, she realized and gratitude for everything that happened in her life.

Overthinking

After the cat knew that she got cancer. It’s difficult to sleep at night. "Is that real or it’s only nightmare". She was overthinking. In the that morning, she sat at the bench beside the window and consulted with friends. This is first time in her life that she relied on the other people. Now I she realizes that she is not alone in this world.

The grooming room

The art work inspired from radiation oncology room. The radiant cat went into the secret grooming room one by one for receiving the radiation. The staff always help them in every steps. The cats felt that they were the special ones. The light was radiate on the exactly markers on their body after. The bad cells in the body will eradicate. Then the radiant cats changed to the better version.

On the boat

The cat had to receive radiation everyday. She always took the boat to the hospital. The boat ran slowly on the river. There was glitter of sunlight over the water. She was very happy that she still alive to see that.

Waiting for the doctor

The radiant cats have to consult with doctor from time to time. The cats who waiting always talk and encourage each other in front of the doctor room. Sometime the doctor compliment them they feel very happy.

Openminded

Last year she felt very lonely from middle age crisis. she always separated herself from everyone. But after she got cancer, she openminded for the supporting from friends, family, the hospital staffs, the cancer patients and the strangers. She’s not felt lonely anymore.
